Doug Worthington [ Research & Development ]

Doug Worthington

Mr. Worthington has for the past 30 years been educated and worked in the behavioral science field of clinical and organizational psychology and human development. He has primarily worked in the areas of clinical and industrial psychology and is licensed to practice in the mental health field by the state of Texas. For more than nine years, he worked for Industrial Consultants, Inc., a business and personnel consulting firm that specialized in pre-employment test development and management training. Mr. Worthington holds graduate and undergraduate degrees in clinical psychology and human development. He has more than 60 post-graduate hours earned toward the Doctorate in Psychology. He has had more than a dozen articles published in a variety of journals and periodicals and has presented at many national, regional and local conferences and meetings. He has been a visiting professor in psychology at Southwest Texas State University, Hardin-Simons University and Cisco Junior College. His current research interests are in healthcare worker retention, leadership identification and succession within organizations and developing tools that will identify effective management styles and matching them to organizational needs.

Mr. Worthington is a Vietnam Era Veteran having served in the United States Air Force from 1968 - 1972. He is a licensed pilot and has logged more than 6,000 hours in a variety of aircraft from jets and turboprops to WWII "war birds."

During his professional career he has worked as a consultant with such companies as Texaco, Timex, Rexall Drug, Rexene Polymers, Stemple Manufacturing, Pride Refining, El Paso Gas, Thomas A. Beckett Company, state and federal agencies and many others. Mr. Worthington has held the position of CEO and has been in various other professional positions. His work experiences and educational background bring a unique perspective to solving problems managers and HR directors face today.
